Old Students Association (Mirandian)
All final year students become members of the Old Students Association (Mirandian) by paying a registration fee of Rs. 50/- which is collected along with the college fees.
Towards the Cultural Enrichment of Education
(i) The University Choir
(ii) Music Club : Western and Indian Folk, Light & Classical genres
(iii) Cineclub ; film appreciation programmes.
(iv) Poets Guild : English, Hindi, Urdu and regional languages
(v) Creative Writers Forum
(vi) Public Speaking Society : Debates, Declamation and Extempore Speech
(vii) Artclub : fine arts, painting, sketching and cartooning.
(viii) Federation of Theatre groups : to be set up in the summer of every year.
(ix) Photoclub and Dance Ensemble/The Choreographers
3. Under Section 10 of the Constitution:
"Each full-time student in a department/institutions/college of the University shall be required to contribute Rs.5.00 in each academic session."
The Students' Union
Each student of Miranda House is a member of the Students Union and annually participates in the election of office-bearers, namely the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Presidents of six cultural societies viz. Debating, Hindi Dramatics, English Dramatic, Fine Arts, Quiz and Music, Dance & Choreography and Presidents of Sports and Hostel Union. Elections are held in the first term except for the office of the Hostel Union President. The Principal of the College is the patron of the Student's Union. The Students Union is affiliated to the Delhi University Students Union. The programmes of the Student's Union are framed with the prior approval of the Principal. The meetings of the General Body of the union are also arranged with the prior permission of the Principal. Neither the Students Union nor any society arranges any programme/meeting connected with any political party.
